Release 5.0

All students and staff at Monash South Africa have now been migrated to the new my.monash.

From today, everyone at Monash is now using the new my.monash.

MSafe and Shuttle bus tiles added for Australia

Release 4.1

The MSafe tile will allow Australian students and staff quick access to security and safety resources. The tile features security numbers and security office locations. Simply click the phone or map icon to call or see the location. Also find out how to report any problem behaviours.

If you catch the shuttle bus, you’ll like this tile. The live feed will show you how many minutes until your next bus departs or click on a particular route to see all services for the day.

myPlan replaces PDO

Release 4.1

Performance Development Online (PDO) is no longer Monash University's active performance development system. As of 28 November, we've moved to an improved performance development system called myPlan.

Monash HR will upload all your 2016 PDO plans as PDF attachments in myPlan. These will be ready to refer to and inform you in your 2017 goal setting and planning in the new system.

Malaysia gets a Bookings tile and link to LabArchives

After feedback from students and staff on our Malaysia campus, we've added a Bookings tile.
The tile will provide single-sign-on access to:

• Event booking system
• Venue booking system
• Sports & rec venue booking system

We've also added a link to LabArchives to the Research tile.

We’ve created Malaysia specific tiles to suit our new audience.

Moodle fixed – no more double click

Release 3.4

We’ve had lots of feedback about the double click to access the Moodle tile. We’re pleased to say that the vendor has made the necessary changes to allow us to fix this bug.

• Moodle tile now only one click: the system can now tell if you’re a Monash University or Monash College student and take you to the right interface.

Student notices go live

Release 3.3

A second 'live' tile has been released to students. By popular demand, students can now see important notices at the top of my.monash, without having to open a tile.

We are working through all your feedback, and will be releasing enhancements continuously. This means that tiles will move locations every now and then, but we are making conscious effort to minimise this, while keeping related services together and most frequently used ones at the top.

Important dates go live and we’ve fixed logout

Release 3.2

We now have the ability to create ‘live’ tiles. That is, tiles that show dynamic content. The first tile we’re releasing is important dates. You can now see upcoming dates without having to open the tile.

We’ve had lots of feedback about the logout tile. This was an interim solution whilst the vendor made changes to the application to work with Monash systems. The logout link is now in the top right drop-down box (where it should be!) so we can get rid of the logout tile.

Release 3.1

All Australian students have now been migrated to the new my.monash. They’ll see the new platform next time they login.

Updates: 

• MULO now has its own tile (student profile).
• Moodle double click is only temporary. We’re testing roles at the moment and once they’re ready to go you’ll be able to get directly into Moodle.
• Monash Retail link added to the On-campus tile.  

Next we’re going to migrate all our affiliates, external users and any service and role accounts.

 

Early release to Australian students and the new brand design

Release 3.0

We’re excited to announce that the new my.monash desktop is ready for Australian students.

We’ve sent an invitation to all Australian students, Monash College students and students studying at some of our overseas centres (not campuses) inviting them to access it ahead of the student wide migration.

In this release students will find:

• tiles providing access to their most accessed resources e.g. Moodle, Email and Timetable
• live updates on service announcements
• a lifecycle tile which provides details about upcoming events in the student calendar
• and lots more…

Staff will find:

• a new and improved design which aligns with the new university brand
• a link to BEIMs added to the Help tile
• minor label name changes to improve findability
• the search within my.monash function reinstated in the top navigation bar (we had to remove the site map to allow for better search results)

2. The central Monash Intranet page has been updated to include links to all the divisional and departmental intranets
3. New link to International and Domestic travel added to the Travel and parking tile

Moodle gets its own tile

2.       Updated the life cycle tile to help you ‘Find the bookmarks you had stored in My Links’
